Selections:
1) Dinah Shore 1942 #8
2) The Four Aces from LP Shufflin' Along 1957
3) Jaye P. Morgan 1959 MGM single, flip of Are You Lonesome Tonight

Miss You is a great song written by Henry, Harry and Charles Tobias. It was first a hit in 1942 for four artists including Eddy Howard. Another great harmony rendition from the 50s was by the McGuire Sisters.
Jaye P. Morgan was a spunky showgirl with sexy tendencies that weren't always shown. On the TV Gong Show in the 1970s a couple of times she flashed her breasts. It wasn't shown on TV but was in the Gong Show Movie. I include that shot (obscured). But actually she's wearing a white camisole.

  • SEARCHED EVERY WHERE FOR FOUR ACES

VERSION . STILL CANT FIND IT.

Had it on shuffling along album

  • I have just noticed 2 copies of the MCA (Decca) 2-LP reissue at the Musicstack site. You will find things there and at Gemm. Also a search thru Dogpile uses all search engines and finds good stuff. Let's hear how you did.

  • Correction: that reissue does not have Miss You, I confused it with the rerecording of It's No Sin. But they have Shufflin Along too.

  • This is one of the great tunes that spoke to our G.I.'s fighting all over the world from 1942 to 1945. You really had to be there...............this was a time that was both full of both bitter sweet and very sad at the same time. As I said you hadda be there.

  • I am so glad I found this post. It is just wonderful. Three great renditions of one of my favourite songs.

I have added this one to my "favourites" list, and I thank you for sharing.

  • Jaye P Morgan was a superstar, but should have been an Icon.

  • dinah at her prime,ben
