Proud to be an O'Donnell and an Irish descendant from Liverpool. In my latter years I feel more Irish than English after visiting Donegal 3 times, were I believe my Grandfather was born.
I would love to go back, such a beautiful county, gives me a tingle in my spine just like this song.

He shall ride out into the sunset, as the maidens whispers fill the air. After slaying thousands mercilessly & restoring ÉIRE to its rightful place, undisputed magnificence. Reflecting its children, its nature, poetry & gods.
Do not fall victim to the trickery of the mean deceiver, the foe most arcane. Sublime are the divine sparks of Erin fair, forget it not.

The Greatest of all Irishmen, is yet to be inaugurated. There may be a sparsity of monuments now, but the hero of all gaelic heroes lies in wait for his Destiny's splendour, the grandeur of mountains high. The golden statues will litter every province. His crown will reflect the outshining gem that is his valiant spirit, surpassed by no other. Under the protection of ALL his glory, the auspices of the her; the eternal triple 3. Evermore shall the wind cry out the legend's name. A river flowing.

@Sidcup12 I wish him all the best. I had a friend visit there about two months ago and he liked it.
Some day I may write a book about my 3-day career in John Brown's ship yard in Clydebank. On day 3 I was introduced to the electrical foreman who asked "what was the first thing you got at school?" Before I could give an answer he said "your prayer's you little Catholic bastard". So it was jacket on and off I went as a 16-year-old searching for an electrical career. It's the hard way every time.

Great point Seamus, there just aren't enough monumnets to Irish heroes. Fiach MacHugh O'Byrne isn't even recognised by most Irish people today, yet look at the stand he made with the other chieftains. Also I think that we put too much emphasis on the division between Prods and Catholics here, what about the unity between the Ulster Defenders and the United Irishmen back in the 1800s? Why can't we focus on the fact that we're all Irish blood and that relgion is just personal taste? Eire Abu!

You think the earls get no recignition what about the Septs in the pale like the Gabhal Ragnall. The O'Byrne didnt even have the privilage of a Title granted to them or a place in history. Romantacists have our culture surviving among the rocks and mountains with the idea that it only survives there because it couldnt be rooted out. What about the Byrnes who defended their lands and didnt get the chance to run off to rome. Just slaughtered and hung drawn and quartered for bein Gael
