How did you apply Gelid GC-EX compound? spread it across CPU? pea size compound in the middle and put heat sink over it spread itself? I'm also using GC Extreme on a i7 930 but my idles are 44C and load 69-71C using a Corsair H50 with Dual fan config. Something is not right so I think I'm applying the compound wrong. Some help please.

Do I have to replace this every 2 years like with Arctic Silver 5 ?

@SeikoPsycho no you shouldn't have to, but it would keep temps low :)

Thanks for the kind words.
I made sure that the room temperature was the same for every test comparison.
