Today we are looking at the Gelid Solutions GC-Extreme Cutting-Edge Thermal Compound. This paste is in a different league to any other out there, and clearly shows this reflecting in it's properties.

  • Do I have to replace this every 2 years like with Arctic Silver 5 ?

  • @SeikoPsycho no you shouldn't have to, but it would keep temps low :)

  • Thanks for the kind words.

I made sure that the room temperature was the same for every test comparison.

  • can you compare this to the MX-4? im getting some thermal paste later this week and i want the best, idc if its 50 buck

  • @eteknix THANKS FOR ANSWER

  • How did you apply Gelid GC-EX compound? spread it across CPU? pea size compound in the middle and put heat sink over it spread itself? I'm also using GC Extreme on a i7 930 but my idles are 44C and load 69-71C using a Corsair H50 with Dual fan config. Something is not right so I think I'm applying the compound wrong. Some help please.
