True, not at all professional to mess about in uniform, but after a bad shift dealing with dead bodies, drunk drivers who kill children, domestic violence because someone's football team lost, drug addicts mugging old people etc. the occasional laugh and joke can help you cope. Ask anyone in the Emergency services. Black humour helps too!
