Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Nobel Peace Laureate Message of Support for July 25 Rally

Nobel Peace Prize Recipient Archbishop Desmond Tutu voices his support for the Global Day of Action in solidarity for the People of Iran on Saturday July 25th. People in more than 60 cities around the world will participate in this unprecedented wave of global citizen activism.

Other Nobel Peace Laureates, prominent Iranian poets & artists, and many others support the global day of action: Shirin Ebadi, Sean Penn, Dariush, Maz Jobrani, Betty Williams, Jody Williams, Adolfo Perez Esquivel, Rigoberta Menchu Tum, Simin Behbahani, and Ismael Khoii.

I remember Desmond Tutu in July 1989, on the parvis of Trocadero in Paris where he was asking for a free South Africa and world solidarity fighting the brutal regime of Apartheid. Today Desmud Tutu shows that he is paying attention to the human dignty regardless of any religion, race or nationality. He shows his solidarity not only to Iranians but also to the free world with free humans all over.

He is is inspiring all of us to fight brutality. Thank you Mr. Desmond Tutu.
