The lyrics and singing on the Live/Dead version of this are the best part! When Jerry comes in with the "six proud walkers on the jingle bell rainbow" it's one of my favorite moments in Grateful Dead history. He sounds like he's on the verge of tears, it's beautiful.

i definitely agree, but for some reason I like the vocals better on this version, less tamed maybe.
