If picked, I d enhance an Etch A Sketch into a game device, by adding servos, a three axis accelerometer, a speaker, and some form of connection to a personal computer wireless, USB, or network . The servos allow control of the Etch a Sketch with a microprocessor programmed with the .NET Micro Framework, of course The accelerometer has dual duty detecting when the Etch A Sketch has been cleared by shaking, and sensing the angle the Etch A Sketch is being held at. Knowing the angle of the Etch A Sketch provides an alternative means of control tilt the Etch A Sketch to draw a line in the direction of tilt. The speaker is used for sound effects. For example, a count-down timer in a game, collision notification, or even to tell the user to shake the screen. The personal computer connection allows more complicated processing to take place as needed on the PC, as well as downloading of additional images to draw.
