This is so great to see. Thanks so much for posting. I used to see him play in NYC as often as possible in the late '80's. One night on his birthday he just brought the house down. It was a real magical moment an evening I'll never forget. And then he told the story of how he got his dobro and who it originally belong to.

@xeridian I will correct myself, since this is in 1986 so this wasnt recorded before P&J but Pride and Joy had only been released 2-3 years prior to this, SRV was in fact influenced by Muddy Waters in the writing of P&J so I can see the relativity in his choice for callback.

@fireballkiller Where do you think Stevie Ray got Pride and Joy from???? All blues players traded and borrowed just to make good music. This was WAY before SRV wrote Pride and Joy and is where he borrowed it from.
