@hg75gs @hg75gs Wow, if you are considering dropping $7000-$8000 on those crappy models, you really should just stop buying computers now. If you have money to spend, don't buy crap. Go to xoticpc or AVAdirect (I suggest xoticpc) and build yourself a good laptop instead of something that will fall apart in a year and you pay $2000 more than you should.

@MrAnimethunder The chipset information can be found on the product webpage. Average Retail price will be around $460.

@MrAnimethunder Price varied a lot in our research. It was anywhere between $449 to $679 at one retailer. iStarUSA floated around 100 or so units out there to gauge interest and they all sold. Will ask them to comment on a firm MSRP now that they are going into full production with the next batch.

@B0HMED Correct. It's just regular eSATA and not the enhanced SATA III speed variety. Have asked about the chipset. Didn't want to start peeling stickers off the PCB to find out on this one.
hi, this is the third time that i ask you this
Can you tell me witch is the best laptop between this three?
1.- HP ENVY 17 3D
2.- Samsung NP-RF 711-503
3.- Toshiba Qosmio X775-3DV80
the three of them are fully customized, this will make the price to rise up to $7000 or even $8000
please answer to me so i can buy the best of them
thanks and bye

@hg75gs This video is about a 1U RAID Enclosure. If your questions is about this or something related, then we welcome them. If it isn't, then it probably will not get answered. Please stay on topic so that others may learn what they came here to learn. Thanks.

@B0HMED As per @istarusa below, the chipset info was on the website. It was actually the LAST bullet point so totally missed it. It uses a JMicron and Texas Instruments Chipsets. I know that specific models might be more helpful but I know that you wanted to pull it apart when you got yours so hopefully you can share that info when you do :)

@MrSoskok Sorry. No version with that interface at this time and wasn't told when. I'm assuming you mean "Thunderbolt" and not "Tuberculosis" :)
