  • Dusty was pure magic. I don't get how "Son of a Preacher Man" could go top 10, yet the subsequent singles and Dusty In Memphis LP (aside from "Windmills Of Your Mind" which went top 40) did not duplicate its success. At least the album was eventually recognized for the mesmerizing perfection that it is.

  • The Happening was Flo's last venture with the Supremes. Love this clip with Mary front and center and all the different camera angles that showed combinations of Diana-Flo/Diana-Mary/Mary-Flo. They all looked so happy and cheerful, and the song was tops.

Then there's the one and only Mss. Dusty Springfield, my favorite vocalist/ song interpreter of all times.

  • "The Happening" has to be before 1968 ~ Flo was gone by then.
