All the Gurus wore this crown, but such is their humility, they gifted this item of nobility it to the Sikhs. And now we either disrespect this gift by wearing it and partaking in such activities which are harmful to ourselves or by not wearing this daat at all? Which category do you fall into, or are you one of those few Khalsas that roam and forever uphold the reputation of the Sikhs?

  • Do we see it on the heads of those who readily consume Akaal Purakh's creatures? So does that mean we shouldn't consume anything since plants are also Akaal Purakh's creatures.

  • @aman113 Difference between creature and creation.

  • @ysderby brother creatures are part of the creation.

  • @aman113 creatures are, but argument is against eating creatures not the creation. It is about karma, an animal who has free will and a brain, and can theoretically think and feel pain. Against a plant with no pain sensors or free will, no ability to think? There is a big difference here. Guru Ji taught us not to create bad karma by killing such creatures, this is not to say that there is an effect of karma by eating plants - this is a side that needs much more discussion - not 500 characters :)

  • @ysderby Mas Mas kar murkh chagrey gyan tehyan nahi janey kon mas kon saag kahavey kin mein pap samaney. Guru ji here clearly telling us that we can't tell if the sin lies in eating mas or eating plants. I by no means is stressing the point that one should consume mas however i am stressing the fact that one is not superior if they don't consume mas.

  • @aman113 No one is superior to another regardless of what they consume, but it has to be noted that the pain that one can see on a animal and we know they feel should be taken into account. Not knowing where the sin lies does not warrant maas as you say, but it is clear that one should not cause another pain, including animals. Be it Halaal or Jatka - both cause pain, physical and mental.

  • If he does then that is his choice. I am very disappointed to hear your view to conform to western culture. Only our Guru had the power to "re-think" the Maryada of Sikhi, who are we to say because the westerners do this we should. I know it sounds cliche but if they jumped off a bridge, would you? If anybody who has looked into Sikhi will know, there is a Kakaar called the Kanga where Sikhs use it to tidy their Kes, so no Sikh should have a "wild looking beard". Please watch Kes for more info.

They practice hypocrisy, and make a show before other people, but they do not understand anything about meditation or spiritual wisdom. O Nanak, what can be said to the blind people? They cannot answer, or even understand what is said.

  • LET THE TRUTH BE TOLD--- YOUNG GUYS ONLY CUT THEIR HAIR TO IMPRESS PUNJABI GIRLS..THE GIRLS ARE TOO DUMB THESE DAYS TO RESPECT THEIR RELIGION AND HAVE AN UNDERSTANDING OF ALL THE SACRIFICES SINGHS MADE.. THIS IS THE TRUTH. NO DISCRIMINATION, NO RACISM, NO, THE ONLY REASON IS GIRLS. PARENTS NEED TO EDUCATE THEIR GIRLS.
