Fire Extinguishers?

Hopefully someone can help identiufy these things. I was TOLD they were antique mini fire extinguishers, but have been unable to find any info on them. If anyone has an idea or a link to any sort of information, please contact me. Thanks

You could find these Presto fire extinguishers in almost any hardware store in the 1950's to early 60's and were marketed mainly to homeowners or cycle owners. They sort of became a fad with the "Harley" crowd. They were not UL approved, so they were generally not placed in any industrial setting, since the Fire Inspectors would not approve them. When the dry powder extinguishers became available, these became obsolete. I still have one in my garage just for fun and it remains charged.

yes they are fire extinguishers. either presto or bradex. contain either carbon tet or cbm. dont sniff it! highly toxic and carcinogenic . without the labels on, they arnt really worth much to a collector. they date from the 50's-60's

They r in fact antique mini fire extinguishers I collect them they contain cholorobromomethane "cb" those have a value of about 20 bucks for both they would be more valuble if they had the sticker label on the can and the warrenty..

that almost looks like an old fuel canister for an old mining helmet light. does the liquid inside burn?
