The Gearwire Gossip V-blog takes a turn for the experimental, hitting the "on" button on the Korg RADIAS, twisting knobs and making noise.

It ain't exactly gossip column material, but Gearwire readers demand ACTION, so I decided it was high time to get crazy with the Cheez Whiz and see how nutty it could get.

Results? Some RADIAS out-of-the-box sounds and loops are cheesy, some are Reznor-riffic, and some are highly reminiscent of fab 1970s-era sci-fi soundtrack noises. I can't make up my mind, one second I'm making Euro-trashity disco noises, the next I'm getting Walter Murch on yo' azz with Korg RADIAS ring mods, ear-tormenting high-pitched squeals and bloops. I edited the best of the session into a nice, compact vid. Sure, there's plenty of sonic cheese, but it was fun. Try a fine vintage with it and no we'll have no worries.

Do you like what you see? Drop by the Gearwire Forums and tell us. Suggestions on what Wallace should try out next? Likewise.
