There are those who will say that you don't need to know the names of the tunes to learn them ( by ear ).
After all, it's not like you heard these tunes in a session and have had to walk home trying to remember them and re-create them ( though that used to be what Kevin Burke used to have to do, for example .). You can re-play them here time and again till you get them right.
That's luxury, that is. But tell that to young people these days, and they'll laugh at you.
im more of an old style box player and tend to like the music of those who practice that style (Joe Madden, John Nolan, Joe Burke, etc) but darren is making his way up to one of my new fav box players
