Interview in Shanghai - China with Alvaro Cirillo and Danny Martinez from the Latin American Pavilion. In The Latin-American Pavilion (LAP) we find galleries which specialize in Latin-American Art with various origins in Europe, North America, Asia, and Latin America, all of which today exhibit through it the works of renowned artists from the continent. The LAP, a pioneer of its kind in Asia, has become a referring cornerstone for Latin-American culture in artistic Asian circles, bringing the best of what Latin-American has to offer, crossing land and water frontiers by building bridges to introduce the uniqueness of Latin-American Art to the Chinese households.
In 2009 the LAP host galleries from Argentina, Andorra, Canada, China, Colombia, Cuba, Korea, Puerto Rico, Spain, and the United States, all of which are authentic representatives of the best modern and contemporary Latin-American Art. Among the names we find such renowned figures as: Agustin Bejarano (Cuba), Fernando Botero (Colombia), Manuel Carbonell (Cuba), Roberto Diago (Cuba), Jose Gamarra (Uruguay), Ignacio Iturria (Uruguay), Arturo Montoto (Cuba), Edgard Negret (Colombia), Luis Felipe Noe (Argentina), Antonio Segui (Argentina) and Jesus Rafael Soto (Venezuela).
