This is cool....now for a circular one? THAT would be awsome! Especially for SOCKS.

Would love to make one of these. Do you sell any detailed plans? I am a little slow at figuring things out. THanks for sharing!

A masterpiece of creativity. Well done!

@rigidheddleweaving i totally understand...just you can pick up ones fairly cheap on ebay and from any brother knitting machine sellers...though i hope he takes this idea further and develops it further, correx37 could be onto a huge thing here

@lilroseninja It's not always about speed. Some people knit because it's relaxing...not in a hurry to crank out product after product. Some people also can't hold on to needles (like people with arthritis). This is, however, faster than using needles bit it's great for people who can't knit to save their lives, don't want to make a huge investment in a full blown machine they'll use, maybe, once or physical/financial limitations.

@lilroseninja Lots of people, myself included, like to build and use their own equipment, either out of creativity or financial restrictions.

@rigidheddleweaving not really i machine knit, that it self is diy knitting, i guess maybe because im a fashion student i do not fully understand the purpose of this...but basically what he has made is a cheap version of a knitting machine - congrats it does look good, but time consuming considering how fast you could what he is doing on a machine
-
@rigidheddleweaving i like the idea...just if people ask how to do this and that its much easier on a machine, i do machine knitting
Awesome! I'd like to make one. Instead of pushing the yarn one at a time with the little tool, would it be possible to use something like a giant comb to push them all at once?

Thanks for your comment - Using a giant comb will not work, it will simply jam up the length of wool which passes through the needles. Each stitch has to be made one at a time.
