  • What did you type for the specials window where there were some tools about subdivide and subdivide Multi and so on?

  • @d4v1dy press W on the keyboard for the specials menu ( the menu with the subdivide option)

  • Brilliant video, it helped alot =D. 1 question...

How would you render this animation? :S

  • Thanks,

to render just hit F10 on your keyboard to enter the render panel, on the left you will see a bar, click on it to navigate to where you want save your video. On the right of the same panel, under the format section, select the video output you want. On default it is JPG. Then hit the big ANIM button to render your whole animation. Good luck!

  • 1.Press F10 on keyboard to open the render panel

2.On the left type the destination of your video

3.Under format change the file type from jpg to either FFMpeg or Avi Codec.

4.Hit the big ANIM button in the centre and wait until it finishes. It may take quite a while. Hope that helps

  • when i click alt a the numbers just keep goin up

  • @MSGRISSLEPUSS1

The numbers should do so and you should see the animation baking but very slowly. If the numbers keep on going without it baking, you may be low on memory. I suggest you try it on anothe pc, if it works upgrade the memory on your other pc.

  • damn up grade

  • @thomaskcollins Do not save it as AVI! It will most likely come out corrupted. Instead, save your animation as individual images, I recommend PNG, then re-import the images into Blender and use Blender's video editor to put them together. Flawless.

  • Rock on, good stuff.

  • can this be use in the game engine?

  • it has not enabled the self collition, you have to enable, or as you can see the cloth traspasses itself. i dont know in that version where it is, but in the new one its clearly in one button... anyway well done!

  • thanks buddy im going to post a response, to show what i created out of this video :) great tut.

  • Thomas, does the cloth object need to be a plane, or could i use a flattened box shape? I need to do thick cloth on an animation i will be doing once ive finished building my model (her jacket)

  • Great tutorial. Well spoken, well demonstrated. :)
