Ray dan Reese sounds suspiciously like vocal fry

I wish to someday have a voice like Vladimir Miller: a rich, deep voice that can project without amplification. Now that's bass. J. D.'s my favorite Southern Gospel bass singer, but could he make a room shake without using a mic? Nope. Vladimir's the man.

@thebassmanadam Thanks, one more, which album was the first song J.D. Sumner sang from?

i think you should have devoted some more time in this video to George Younce.. he will always be the best bass singer to me. I myself am a bass singer and could only hope to have half the talent ALL of these men have though. Great video either way ;)

Who cares about low C's and B's when you can find here on YT a Russian Basso Profundo who actually manages to hit a low... G! (Not Vladimier Miller, just type Russian Basses and it's one of the first results).

To each there own! I will always be impressed by the Russian basses and the power some of them sing with! I have heard many YT clips of them singing and am really amazed by Ivan Rebroff and his range but I will always love this type of bass singing first!

Why does all bass singers seem to sing about christianity

@ChocolateMilcMan
Its where the demand is for that particular vocal part although there are plenty of secular A-Capella groups who have good basses plus you have the Russian basso profundos but gospel music is where the demand is highest for bass leads and bass singing in general.
