I'm not a huge fan of Roger. I like the Who songs Pete sings better for the most part. He butchers PJ stuff.

What is amazing is that if Roger sang that song in his prime, it probably would have been incredible! He still has such incredible musical feel. Very cool stuff.

eddie idolized roger and pete for different reasons. He loves roger for his singing and loves townsend for his guitar playing and songwriting. I'm sure he also loved the ox and moonie as well he is a huge who fan.

That old fuck is the man Vedder idolizes. And he has 40 years worth of his own material to remember. Him forgetting the lyrics to a Pearl Jam song, isn't a big deal. Especially when Eddie joins you onstage.

When Roger started playing the first few chords... many in the crowd started to go nuts, knowing Eddie is a huge Who fan!... I knew he would be there, because there was a very conspicuous and well timed break in PJ's tour.... But to join Roger on stage for 3 songs was living a fantasy! BEST CONCERT EVER. I had more the impression that Roger was teasing the audience until Ed got out there... not that he did not know the lyrics.
