On Friday morning at 8 a.m., a small group of Seattle ultraskaters descended on Greenlake park with their boards, food, drink, and friends to kick off their event. Their "personal bests" can vary dramatically, but each skater determines their own -- for example, of the three participants in Seattle, one intends to skate 100 miles, another 200 miles, and yet another is shooting for the World record: 250 miles in 24 hours. During the quest around 1am in the morning, there was a surprise waiting for them. It was too dark to get clear video, but can you guess what happened?
Hit a pile of animal droppings. : )
