Story: Tifa had known Cloud since they were kids. She was always the tomboy who would stick up for and always look out for her friends. As they grew up, they remained just as close, but Tifa developed romantic feelings towards Cloud who instead developed feelings for the popular and beautiful Aeris who he eventually started dating. Tifa'd never had anything against Aeris before, but the feeling of rejection from Cloud made her wonder why when she thought they were so perfect together he didn't seem to think so at all.

Trying to ease her suffering a bit, Tifa began making a list of the reasons Cloud should or shouldn't be with her or Aeris. All this managed to do was confuse her more. Aeris was the perfect popular girl, the brain, the beauty, but she didn't KNOW Cloud and she made the poor boy miserable half the time. So, Tifa decided she would show Cloud why they worked so well together and why he and Aeris didn't. He didn't seem to notice at all though, as usual...

Tifa was nearing the end of her rope. No matter what she tried Cloud never saw her as more than "Just A Friend" and it was starting to kill her inside. Finally, she gave up. Cloud wasn't going to see her, so why bother? That night she attempted to take her life, almost succeeding, but instead was found and rescued by Cloud who took her to the hospital immediately. As he watched her sleeping there, realizing how close he came to losing her forever, he finally saw who he really belonged with. Now, he just had to wait for her to wake up so they could talk.
