$1799 for a 46 samsung???? I know samsung is one of the best name brands.. but damn.. you got jewed!!! I bought a 46" vizio lcd for 1190 and its just as good as the samsung and sony i was comparing it to.

@plumpis I went into a ebay seller store and got a 47" Vizio New (open box-Local pickup) for $500. There was 20 dollars worth of gas forward and back.:)

I agree that way too many Sony and Samsung lovers are trying to bash the Vizio brand. I've had my Vizio 37" LCD for 2 1/2 years now, and it works well; not one dead pixel. Maybe Sony and Samsung's fans are just pissed that they paid $500-$1,000 more for their television of the same size and realized that Vizio picture looks spectacular. If you're not confident, walk in to a Costco or Sam's Club - they have a wide variety of Vizio units.

vizio is getting up there with samsung and sony.sony is just a name .samsung is better than sony by far.i however prefer a vizio .good value hdtv.

I have had 2 Vizios (32 & 37) since Sept 2006 and never had any trouble with them. I used the 32" as a monitor for the last 9 months. I'am looking at the 47lf or vf551 for football season.
