http://www.reefari.com Giant Trevally Fishing Madness, and this video show's only a couple of the fish caught, Caught about a dozen quality GT's (Giant Trevally) on lures just swimming around the Boat, and a Nice spanish Mackerel to top it all off, Unreel fishing and perfect weather tucked in behind the Great Barrier Reef.
Giant Trevally love the surface action of poppers and stickbaits, looks like a baitfish in Distress and Giant Trevally can't help themselves, awesome action and surface strikes, especially in glass calm conditions such as this day. Reefari releases all GT's, too good a fish to catch once, and they pull like nothing else. One of the toughest fish in the ocean, and once hooked you will be too. Recommend the best gear you can afford and at least 50 lb braid, with the 80 lb and 100lb common. Giant trevally definately take some stopping!!!

Nice fish boys. What time of year was this? I was up cairns way in May, spent a whole day chucking lures and sliders round Arlington, Had 6-7 bigg fish follow the lures right to the boat but never got a hit. They bite better in the Warmer months?

Giant trevally can be funny things, depends what mood there in, When they're fired up they'll smash anything that moves, and other times, they'll have a look, but won't touch it, seen it alot, but that's fishing and that's what keeps you coming back for more. Giant trevally are fairly residential and around all year,

The reel is a Penn Spinfisher, good basic reel to start with for Giant trevally, but better quality reels around. Not sure on the Rod, Look at Shimano gear, good quality brand,

Would've been around 30lbs for the first Giant Trevally which was released, Great sportsfish, they pull hard and not much good for eating,
