First Part of the BBC documentary.
In 1971, four students came together to form a band. Since then, this band called QUEEN published 26 albums and sold over 300 million albums worldwide. The popularity of Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon is bigger than ever. His story is quite remarkable, a narrative account of their early struggles, large obstacles, successes, reviews, separation, triumph, tragedy and a lasting legacy - all against a backdrop of brilliant music and impressive live performances from around the globe.

In this documentary, first, the band's history. Guided through a vast archive full of audiovisual material hitherto unpublished, the documentary shows how four individuals of strong character, all capable of writing songs for massive success, have worked together in a thriving for four decades. Queen never did anything by halves - meaning their mass were high, and low catastrophic. This is a compelling story told with intelligence, wit, humorous and harrowing honesty.
