This is the Eucharistic liturgy of the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church celebrated as a Missa Cantata, or sung Latin Mass, according to the 1962 Roman Missal (Missale Romanum), also commonly referred to as the Tridentine Rite, or Tridentine Mass, or Tridentine Latin Mass, or Old Latin Mass, or classical Latin Mass, or Traditional Latin Mass (TLM).

A "missa cantata" is an approved form of celebration of the Traditional Roman Rite of Mass which serves as a compromise between a Low Mass (which involves no music or incense, by definition) and a Solemn High Mass (which has strict instructions and requirements for celebration that cannot be met in many parishes). My husband and I are traditional Catholics who have to travel 4 hours to get to a tridentine Mass. We use this video to pray the Mass every day because we cant get to our church as we both work. U Tube has been a God-send to us because it has allowed us to have this beautiful Mass in our home every day. The priest in this video prays with utmost sincerity and beauty. God bless you Father. Everyone should be made aware of our greatest gift on earth after a Mass in person...a Mass on the Internet.

The Latin Mass is more reverent than the Mass in Vernacular. I prefer it, and if it will get women to wear scarfs during mass again, I say bring it on.

@Menechem Christ's Blood is contained in the Body. We believe that The Host becomes Christ himself present sacramentally Body Blood soul and divinity as well as the Wine ceases to be wine but is Christ's Body Blood soul and divinty....Vatican 2 makes this same pronouncement which has ALWAYS been the teaching of the Church. Bread and Wine are offered but usually for sake of spilling the precious blood, only the priest recieves under both species.Another case of Poor catechism...

@kiwichristian2009 The problem here in scripture was NOT the offering made by the people it was the fact that they offered it to a FALSE god. AS, Catholics we offer the sacrifice that Christ Left (His Own Body, and Blood, which is the salvatory work) to God The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. You have a poor understanding of Scripture and it seem flawed theology, as well as a misunderstanding of what the Mass is... P.S Never try to use OUR Book against us!
