The beginning scene of "Take it to the limit". I always loved this scene and to think that the bike here was considered by many, a serious sport bike at the time. Dave Emde was the rider, an extremely skilled one at that, because this bike is a serious pig when pushed, as were a lot of early eighties UJMs. I rode one about 20 years ago, it's alllll engine and no brakes. Thank you Peter Starr, for a great movie.
Yes, it just came out and it's great!! I think you can get it on Amazon.

The camera rig was pretty big too!
I'm reminded of how full Casitas used to be.
So is The Movie Available anywhere anymore???

He was a 250 champion in the late 70's, even inducted last year in the motorcycle hall of fame and that's about the same time he died, he was doing a canyon ride with some friends and was killed. I discovered that he was the guy who was in this movie as mostly a back-up rider and there are a couple of scenes with him and Kenny Roberts at the now defunct Riverside raceway dicing it pretty good. He had a Motorcycle dealership in San Diego and just started a family. I think he was about 20 here.
