I'm demonstrating this as a public service. Bartenders of America, please don't rush the Guinness. Let it settle before you pass it along! Thank you. :)

  • what kind of kegerator are you using and what is your settings? Your temp, and how much psi are you using? thats the setup i want great pour.

  • @insanekamkze86 Kegerator is custom built. approx. 15cu foot chest freezer. micromatic parts. temp is about 39 i think and psi is about 32. haven't checked in a while. guinness is pretty forgiving with the settings - the bud light next to it has to be PERFECT otherwise it's too foamy.

  • I hate to dispute the wisdom of the Irish, but "two fingers" worth of head is the goal - straight from Guinness!

  • This is not the perfect pour. It should settle for TWO minutes after the first pour, and the second pour the handle should NOT be pulled all the way down. After the first pour and the settle time of two minutes, you should pull the handle slightly for a nice slow second pour. It should not have to "resettle" Close mate, but not perfect!

  • @GuinnessAtHome Watch the two vids by Fergal Murray

  • Head is far too big. Try filling it slightly more at first, then when topping up, DON'T push all the way back, just a little, slow flow to top up

  • that pint would be thrown straight back at you if you served it in ireland!

  • wrong, head is way too big

  • im irish, that head is way too big and no bubbles

  • @GuinnessAtHome thats the kind of setup i want to have but dont know how to do it. of course u got a freezer what did you do to in order to convert it over? Besides the parts from micromatic.
