http://www.ffotw.com Guest tyer Joe Roope shows us an easy to tie and highly effective stonefly pattern that can be tied with minimal materials to great effect. This pattern has been especially deadly on the Bitterroot River in recent years.
I have not tied any foam flies before being more of a traditional wet fly tyer and fisherman. I decided to try these and they are not only very easy to tie they float like a cork. I tied these for a hopper imtation and the proof is that here in Montana the hoppers are crazy and the trout love these thanks for the tip.
