  • @9322002898 well all canon lenses are compatible with all canon dslrs (expect the very old lenses) same with Nikon. If you want to buy for example a Sigma lens you can choose if Canon or Nikon. Oh and the Nikon D3100 haven't got a "build in (AF) motor" so you should by only Nikon lenses with a build in motor for example the 35 1.8 (the kit lens should have one too)

  • there is no veiw finder... doest it makes a bit of difficulty while shooting in sunny conditions???

i am thinking of canon 1100d.. but this price seems to be low in our country.. thats my majour concern...

even im upgrading from a point and shoot..!!!

  • @9322002898 Sure it makes a difference in sunny conditions, because the screen is dark and there are reflections if you shoot at a sunny day. If you use a view finder there is no problem.

I would definitely go with the canon 1100d because of the view-finder and because of more availeble lenses (there are only 3 for the nex at the moment).

  • @9322002898 sorry I had to split my post so here is the secound part:

The picture quality should be similar at both cameras but because of there are only a few lenses availeble for the nex (they are ok but not perfect) you can get a better image quality out of the canon

  • @gaertnerTV thanks a lot....!!!! i am going for canon 1100d or nikon d3100... which ever is low priced in my country... :D :P

  • @9322002898 Yeah the nikon is great too but I wouldn't buy a 18-55 kit lens (the canon or the nikon) because they aren't exactly perfect... for the nikon the 18-105 3.5-5.6 or the 35 1.8 are great (i own them both with my D7000). I don't know that much about canon lenses but the 50mm 1.8 is cheep and offers a great image quality.

  • @Dre6k do you have the camera?

  • @gaertnerTV i can get better image quality out of the nex-3 than i cam from the cannon 1100d.

  • @gaertnerTV you can get a lens attachments pretty cheep and use different lenses right now i have an fd lens on my nex-3 and i like it a lot. and you can also buy a view finder it looks odd and pretty much just covers the screen but it works well.

  • Great photos..well I wanted the song name you have uploaded in it ??

And i need some help in choosing a SLR cam, I m buying it for the first time and which one would you suggest me ?? I am just an amateur :)) I want to use a basic one at first !!

  • @gaertnerTV 18-55 comes with the camera... so i can also buy the canon 50mm lens.. it is yes quite cheap.... compatibility is the majour issue... how do i know which lens is compatible with my camera??
