heh, the death of Joseph Smith did not end Mormonism, but the death of Jesus ended the church? Maybe I should just embrace Islam then, since Jesus is no longer on the throne...

A LDS came to my door a year ago. I shut the door on him. I was ashamed of myself. I had spent ten years trying to "Find God!" I started at the first recorded religions +Egyptian texts, Hinduism, Islam, all the way up to New Age stuff. I read the KJ Bible many times, not seeing the light. It took a lot of help, and a NIV Study Bible for me to finally GET IT!
I invited them in this year and taught them the True Gospel, for 2 hours- and they came back for more! There is Hope 4 some! God Bless♥

don't seek truth in men, seek it in the word of God, known as the Bible.

In the 2000 year history of Christianity there were many cults and heresies that appeared and dissapeared. The so called prophetic writings of Joseph Smith have all been disproven by now as fraud and lies it´s all in the internet today. Therfore Mormonism is doomed to dissapear one day too. If the Mormon Chruch would publish honest numbers it would be obvious already. Give it some more decades maybe another century and Mormonism will be gone too.

:)

Prepare to be proven wrong just like the general public opinion of the 1840s.

@yamestupid

There were not hundreds or thousands of Mormons there when Joseph was shot. Only a small handful. You are letting your emotions and not your brain make these statements. You are right Mormonism did not end with Joseph Smith. But it did split into different directions. The Utah branch, the Reformites, the Rigdonites, the Strangites.

I am always amused, but mostly saddened, by individuals such as yourself who side with an angry murderous mob over a murdered American citizen.

If there is someone who need to utilize their logic more effectively, it is certainly you my friend.

DefendingMormonism. Are you on extra strong doses of Xanax? No where have I sided with the murderous mob. NO WHERE. You only read that into my comments because of some pathological desire to feel persecution. Get a real life, get the Only real God. Worshipping a glorified man will not get you right with the one and only God of all that exists.

@Igazzini

No need to assume that I am on the same medication as you, my friend.

You are simply another case-in-point of a so-called "Christian" whom lets his pride and anger over Latter-day Saint Christian doctrine lead to attacking a fellow believer in Jesus Christ.

It is clear that you despise what Joseph Smith stood for, and are more willing to point out that he shot others in defense, than that he was brutally murdered by a savage mob who hated the CHURCH which he established.
