I'm getting 65 more ft lbs than stock (around 190). I will be getting about 90 more ft lbs than stock when I switch pulleys next month (around 215)

@jasonsr3 I'm pretty sure they do have one made already for the newer series if not you could always turbo with the new 62mm turbo from esmeril racing (think they have it for sale 5g's for the kit) 400whp on low teens psi

too bad petit doesnt make a SC kit for the 09 and newer models. I have an r3 Id love to SC but I called them and they dont make a kit that will fit the 09 and newer models because of the changes made to the engine.

with the S/C does it shortened the engine life like the turbocharged....

@syc572 From what I've seen the 4 port does pretty good, the numbers I was talking about in my earlier post were for the 4 port. From what I've seen on rx8club d o t com (a great website to learn all you need to about an RX8) the Pettit SC'd 4 ports get between 230-255 rear wheel hp, which isn't quite as much as a 6 port but it's still about 100-120 hp more than a stock 4 port and 50-80 more than a stock 6 port. It would probably be a little faster than a 350z 6 speed.

@Chrisnuzzo76 Here in europe we have 2 versions of the rx8:the 4 port with 5 speed manual and the 6 port high power.Unfortunately i bought the 4 port version and when i see a 6 port rx8,it ruins my day :D...i don't want to talk about that mazda has to offer these cars with over 250 hp for 4 port and over 280-300 for 6 port but i really need to know if a supercharged 4 port 5 MT could reach this kind of horsepwer that a supercharged 6 port does.Thx for your time and your information ;-)

@syc572 With the Pettit SC people tend to get around 250 rear wheel HP, which is still pretty damn good. Thats about 300 hp at the crank, same as a heavier 2008 mustang GT. Check out the Pettit Racing website and RX8club d o t com and read all about it.

Nice car. Your right about the kit, it's going to be real reliable. Pettit has been racing for so many years, and they know what they are doing. I hate that the SC is $6300 for the stage II but I would trust it over any turbo kit. For one thing with this SC you still have the same characteristics as the stock motor but with a lot more power. With a turbo kit you lose the 9200 rpm rev limit and have to shift at 7800 which is when the power drops suddenly, it didn't drop there stock.
