@TyDLewis, Ty, I haven't tried this yet but, it looks like the left arm would not be able to support a base against the leg power of the sweeper. Don't know for sure, have to try it tomorrow and see. Like any technique there is always at least a few counter-moves.

have you ever practice bjj yourself or spar against people whos from bjj background? start a conversation by saying i dont know does not make you sound like you know something. BJJ is not good against multiple attackers, but it does not mean that in real life situation, a striker can defend himself. quit watching kungfu hustle, where one person attack you one at a time. there is no ultimate art.

@yuenj01 No. You don't know. Jiu jitsu doesn't work. It's a fact. You should practice something like ninjitsu if you want to be able to fight!

a smart jiu jitsu practitioner is not dumb enough to use spider guard in a real life situation. it is like saying about taekwondo is not for self defense, who would use 720 spinning kick in real life situation? it is part of the art, some works well in real life situation, some does not.
