@kyonsuzumiyakim i beg to differ, the stereotype of mexican isnt the only "real" one there is, it is true that there's a lot of race mixing in this country but that doesnt mean we're losing our soul, its actually quite the oposite, foreigners who come and live here end up becoming part of mexico in every way, even japanese and chinese people who are very proud of their country end up feeling the warm and cheer of being a part of this country during their life.

Spent a day here in the mid 1990's. One of the most amazing and powerful experiences of my life. Glad I made the trek in a small plane from Cozumel.

Been there and 'El Castillo' still fills me with awe. For the earnest key-seeker: José Diaz Bolio has written imporant works on the Maya's, Kukulkan and more. Thanks for a great video.

Q BELLEZA LA CULTURA MAYA:)

@kyonsuzumiyakim History can be cruel sometimes. Still I have to stand in awe of a place like Chichen Itza. There is nothing to compare it to in my country, the USA. When I was there our guide who was half Mayan was very interested in the Mel Gibson movie because it was done in the Mayan language. So there must be some pride in their native language and culture. I think you are right about the Spanish influence in Mexico. The movie stars like Selma Hyak are more European looking.
It´s not only in that place. Also occurs other effects in the sun in Dzibilchaltun, Uxmal, Mayapan at least, but do not have the promotion that Chichen Itza has.
