This was a very helpful video after an hour of struggling from reading what you visualized so perfectly. Thank you. Any tips on airbag light after reassembling?
I'm trying to get my air bag off currently *without* ripping a hole in it just like you did, which I nearly did unintentionally by reefing on the screwdriver as hard as I could - the lever's fulcrum (the side of the steering wheel), started to tear out in the same manner as yours. I pushed it back into place and it's not noticeable, but I'm trying to figure out a better way to push that spring farther... a better tool? Thanks a ton for l the video, at least I know what the problem is now.
VW and the crazy designs....that should almost work continue to fail.

Thanks good instructions. I now have a visual of how this spring clip works rather than poking around in there :-)
