@toiseywoisey I'm very educated in Art History, I studied art and design in college, have been exhibiting in galleries since I was 18, and drawing since I was 1. So with 'all due respect', before you even begin to make half-assed assessments on my artwork and ridiculous assumptions about me based on my looks, please do some actual research on what I do.
@toiseywoisey Unlike most artists, I don't start with a sketch or even an idea in mind. I let the images happen organically. I only use the word 'dreamlike' to describe the fuzzy feeling you get when you first wake up and are attempting to remember certain things from the night before--that's the only way I could describe the motion and ethereal aesthetic of my pieces.
@toiseywoisey I'm quite aware that Dreams have been dealt with for ages, that isn't the theme of the show. The theme is 'streams of subconsciousness', where I build different parts of the painting in a random manner, and paint what I see, as I see it. When the painting is complete, the random images come together to create a narrative of their own, a narrative that hasn't been premeditated by me, as if the painting takes a life of its own.
Stating the obvious, you have an amazing perspective and are truly gifted. I wish my father, also an artist were alive to experience your work because that is what your paintings are. You take the viewer through a journey of your thoughts and feelings, and it's so captivating, one can't resist being drawn into it, no pun intended. Best wishes, not that you need it!
