These mikes are very versatile and with the correct placement can pick up from several sources. If you want to see the results youtube search * A White Sport Coat (and a Pink Carnation) Plus a Green frog.* For those curious the only recording mike is the CO1U (homemade clip) the microphone I sing into is fed into a guitar amplifier about 4ft behind me (for reverb), the guitar (A Martin DC28E) is played without amplification, the banjo sound comes from my computer speakers about 2ft away.

I just wrote an article which covers everything on the topic of microphones for rapping. I included Samson C01U USB because of its price, high frequency response and the fact that you dont have to buy the Phantom Power for it, which saves you money. Its a quality buy and I recommend it.
