O Instituto de Desenvolvimento Sustentável e Energias Renováveis (IDER) é uma organização não-governamental fundada em 1995 na cidade de Fortaleza (CE). O IDER se destaca pela promoção de projetos que reúnem participação popular, respeito aos costumes locais, proteção ao meio ambiente, educação e tecnologias de energias renováveis com os objetivos de preservar o meio ambiente, desenvolver comunidades, aprimorar técnicas e levar qualidade de vida para famílias de baixa renda. A cultura local, o respeito à questão de gênero e o fortalecimento da participação popular são outras preocupações do Instituto, que tem suas ações apoiadas no conceito de desenvolvimento sustentável. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------­------------------------------- The Institute for Sustainable Development and Renewable Energy (IDER in its portuguese acronym) is a non governmental organization founded in 1995 in the city of Fortaleza (CE). IDER is highlighted by the promotion of projects involving popular participation, respect for local customs, protecting the environment, education and renewable energy technologies with the goals of preserving the environment, building communities, improving techniques and bringing quality of life for low income families. Local culture, the question of gender and the strengthening of popular participation are other concerns of the Institute, which has its actions based in the concept of sustainable development.
