  • I love WTF. It could well be, the most retarded initials ever, but it still is awesome.

  • You learn this form in order to test for 6th gup. At my school that is senior green belt (green belt with a black strip). But the color can vary with schools. So, it is for a black stripe, but not a black belt. This is a color belt form.

    Hope that helps!

  • @Shredder011- you're right it is light but effective. just need to train how to use the stance in combat..

  • @ZEN824 fighting stance with both hands up at about a 45 degree angle... left hand forward right hand back weight equal on both feet be light on your toes both hands up eyes forward... thats what works best for me. Forms are a great way to learn proper technique, discipline, gain strength, and are a beautiful form of artistic representation, Most of these moves were made for fighting with spears and on horse back in classical Korea, adapt them and they can be practical in other ways as well =)

  • @ZEN824 well my friend ive been training for years in many different martial arts (Marine corps martial arts, Muay Thai, MMA, Combat knife techniques, and of course WTF Taekwondo) I recently earned my 4th Dan and what I can say is that TKD is practical if you know how to correctly adapt it to be so. I would recommend a fighting stance with both hands up that allows you to punch, kick, knee, and elbow effectively, more importantly allow for fast movement.

  • @Shredder01-of course forms are impractical,it is just for you to train with in your belt,it is for you to sharpen your mind in TKD. all I say is the stance, it is light and effective. the reason I say that is in that stance you can catch a kick easily. you can block offend to your body and when the offend is high you just raise your hand to block,in this stance you can counter most attack easily. i've tried this stance but I modified this stance to a better one but it is almost look the same...
