What a lovely rendition of this song! It's refreshing to hear such an honest, straightforward approach as compared to the somewhat overblown (with great respect) version Al Jolson made so well known. Mr. McCormack has a marvelous instrument at his command. Bravo!

It was very courageous of him to sing this song after the tremendous hit of Al Jolson. Yet he makes a good job of it. No frills, just immaculate diction and his usual sincere gift of story-telling.
