  • I think shes an amazing singer anyway but i never knew how good her voice actually was:O is it her actually singing wen she does the diff voices and that?!

  • Ok, so Diana doesn't do as well as Jane Horrocks who had a lot of assistance and much more intense training coupled with film editing, but the sudden changes in character and voice take immense talent, for all those on here who critisise, where's your award?! Come on, let's see you jealous Kates do better!

  • @DevonSawaFan Yeah its all her! I went to see the show it was amazing! just shows how talented she really is :)

  • @DevonSawaFan yeah its her singing when she's doing all the impressions :) I went to see the show last year about and it was amazing

  • The role of Little Voice was written for Jane Horrocks, she used that routine to warm up before performing. So inevitably she's better at it. Diana Vickers uses too much 'throat closing' sounds to mimic, not real mimicry - however shes much better than I thought she's be, and her body language and expressions are captivating.

  • I was so dubious about her in this role but shes actually pretty effing goood!!! the transitions...the impressions!!! As someone below mentioned..Jane Horrocks boots were big'uns to fill but she sounds really good here!! xxx

  • @Minilyzer She was really fantastic, I didn't think anyone would be able to live up to Jane Horrocks but I think she did! It must be so hard for the actors to match the likes of Jane Horrocks and Brenda Blethyn from the LV film, but I'll give them their due - they were really impressive.

  • @rushofblood994 I was stunned by Lauren Hood's performance over this week when she's been in Oxford. Just so impressive!!

  • Face it, she's not amazing, though I'll give her her due - she tried. But her Judy is shit. If you want to put on a West End show, get a West End singer, not a X Factor runner up. She only got the role because of her name/popularity.

I saw Little Voice the other night, and the girl (Lauren Hood) was amazing. You don't need to be Jane Horrocks to play the part, but she didn't deserve this role, and I honestly don't think she pulled it off.

  • Impressive stuff! She demonstrates some really good vocal technique across the various different pastiches. It's easier to learn them 'within' a song, but I hope that she'll one day use them more generally and really open up that sound!! She often sings with such a closed throat (Kermit).. but I still think she has a wonderful charm.

I love her first album, can't wait for her second. Controversial? Only when talking to chavs or teenagers!! Hah!

  • Her Edith Piaf impression is abosolutely bob on!
