  • You know. Martial Arts have been around for centuries. They would not be teaching certain martial arts if it didn't work. As a quote would go "There is no better martial art, only the level of man practicing"

  • @TwilightFire666 Tai Chi Chuan encompass shuai(wrestling), na(locking/seizing), and striking from almost any body part.

  • Ah, bgcorporation & I must think alike, All systems are good, anyone who attenda martial arts class must choose carefully, it is how the system is paased down, one must ask can a teacher break down what is shown, and various ways to use it, not only this can the teacher impart on students the essence of the art, how tuse their minds not only for the art but in life as well????

  • @kirokaycore care to elaborate?

  • @bgcorporation Well, that is a nice quote, and it would be great if true. But it's not. It's obvious that some martial arts are more effective then others. That is why, for instance, in a fight, thaibox wins more from tkd and tkd wins more from, for instance aikido. It is simply more effective. But offcourse they all require discipline and skill and should be respected

  • this guy is really nice and relaxed. i can tell. i don't do tai chi, i do have experience with martial arts. compare this vid o that guy in england with those combat tai chi vids, this guy's way better. so many ppl on youtube are too rigid in all there martial art techniques. theres so much garbage out ther, its crazy. i really feel bad that so many people will go and learn from people who have a pathetic grasp on how the art(s) is ment to be.

  • Some of this reminds me of wing chun , hand movements that is , just kind of proves that in this case , kung fu ( styles) branched off from each other.

the real and simple difference between internal and external Chinese martial arts is that Buddhist branches are considered to be of an external influence...India and Taoists styles are considered to be of internal origins to Chinese. Now that's it....Both philosophical systems develop hard and soft principles.

  • @lazy702622 As sophisticated as Judo is, it is definitely an external art (waijia)!! "Softness" is not the distinguishing feature between waijia and neijia. The internal arts of Taiji, Hsingi, Yiquan and Bagua focus on completely different movement and power principles than Judo, i.e. fajing, chan si jin, not to mention rooting, which is non-existent in Judo! (BTW: Rooting and balance is NOT the same thing, though rooting can be used to improve balance and thereby increasing power.)

  • @lazy702622 Judo is called the gentle way yes...and it is...until you hit the ground.
