@PorkFrog I think you're onto something there. People get uneasy when someone like Norm deviates from the norm (pun intended) which they are spoon-fed by hollywood. It's as if many have been brainwashed to think comedy has to be a certain way. People suck. Just look at what happened to Tracy Morgan and other comics whose every word is now held under a microscope to make sure it's pc. That shit really grinds my gears to say the least.

so I was watching Norm clips and a horrible thought occurred to me, as I watched people's reactions to Norm's freestyle uninhibited approach
1] that 'free-ness' is the reason a guy this good isn't a huge huge star--I wouldn't even know about Norm's genius without YT-his shows were watered-down and scripted when he needs freedom
2) after watching people bristle at & correct his non-PC language,I thought 'Maybe the world has changed too much for there to be another guy like Norm
God I hope not

Don't judge me for being sort of nostalgic, but there's something sweet about Letterman saying that it was great to have him back. Norm's a bit of a recluse, and professional friends like Letterman only get to see him when he's in the public spotlight. I am encouraging more of Norm in that spotlight.

He needs to do Conan's new show ASAP. He's always hilarious, but when he's with Conan, interrupting him and screwing up interviews, it's comedy nirvana.
