The concept is brilliant but having been at sea in 40 knot winds, I can't help but think about the points of weakness - Do you think the hinges would holdup to getting belted by massive waves?...then again....if it does 50 knots, it could outrun storms pretty easily if it knows they're coming early.

I remember watching this show and eagerly looking forward to seeing wave piercing in action after all the talk... but no. Clip after clip show it driving around in flat water. Yawn.

Looks awesome - would've liked to see it out in some open seas (rough) to view it doing what it was designed to do.
