Adopting Becca and Matt (Feb 1998)

In February 1998 my wife and I adopted our first two (out of six) children. This is a little peak into what we experienced as first time parents adopting from Russia.

@Ikimification We never planned on adopting six kids. When we married 1988 we thought we would be like most couples. We started trying to have kids in 1989. We had no luck so in 1997 we started looking into international adoption. I think God had other plans for us and our kids.

I love this so much. Seeing you play with them and make them laugh and to see how quickly they warmed to you (especially Becca) is just so lovely.

@frozenxxkisses Thank you very much. My wife and I were pretty nervous...traveling half way around the world and adopting kids we have never met in the past.

This is very cool. I've read all your posts from my uploads...thank you very much! I wish we could adopt more children. We adopted four from Russia and two from Belarus. I love the Russian people!!

I was delighted to see Feb.'98 on the date of the video. We adopted in Russia in Feb.'98 also (Birobidzhan). Our wonderful daughter is now 19, in college and has a part time job. Her reaction at seeing us was to jump into our arms and she wanted to go with us immeadiately. Your video brought back many great memories.
