Before we start calling people racist John Murtha, let's examine the facts. Yes, there are those in America who still to this day are Racist. Reality check for ALL of you, NO ONE PICKS THE SKIN WE'RE IN! (or nationality for that matter). Racial distinctions are used to discriminate against even the GREATEST Americans. My mother left Northern Ireland to escape the discrimination and hatred of an elite 'United' Kingdom, who saw Catholics as less worthy. The Brits have dominated the Irish for the better part of 800 years! So, I DO understand the history of African American's that are decedents to slaves. The Irish know what it's like to not be able to own land, have no civil rights, work as slaves and be killed without cause, or at least without JUST cause. To this day, I have a distrust for the UK government, but I do NOT feel this way against the people, unless they give me reason to distrust them. Why? Because, I am an Irish and US citizen by birth. I have said before, I have no issue with hyphenates, as it contributes to all of us to remember where we come from and the numerous cultures that make us Americans.

If you really are intelligent, which most of us are in America, you understand me when I say, "we don't pick the skin we're in." THAT is all the information you need to say to the next person, regardless of their color or national origin, you are my brother or sister. There is only one race we need to acknowledge, the HUMAN RACE.

Before I digress further, I would like to address an issue that infuriates me.

There are many out there, who upon hearing that you are choosing a candidate other than Obama, you are a racist. Later, when I have time, I will go DEEP into why that is thought, but clearly is a wrong assumption.

What I will say is the percentage (per capita) of "whites", who are racist, voting for McCain , is less than the percentage (per capita) of "blacks, who are racist, voting for Obama.

NOW, before we go crazy, NOT ALL blacks that vote Obama, are racist, EVEN IF it is because he is black, some are doing this because they want to make history. Nothing racist about that. BUT, there are those who don't trust "white people" and that is the main issue. Color doesn't betray, PEOPLE do.

So, Murtha, before you start throwing stones of hatred, NOTICE, you are in a GLASS HOUSE!

"John Murtha Calls Western Pa. 'Redneck'
Congressman Says Western Pa. Was 'Really Redneck'

CHARLEROI, Pa- U.S. Rep. John Murtha is calling many of the people who put him in office "rednecks."

The news comes one week after Murtha claimed the area is racist, then apologized for that comment.

In explaining his comments about racism, Murtha, D-Johnstown, told WTAE Channel 4 Action News on Monday it's difficult for many in the area to change. Murtha said that just five to 10 years ago the entire area was "redneck."

Now Murtha said only certain segments of the population are holding on to those racist feelings. "
