When the Marx Brothers signed with MGM, they wanted to put themselves in the logo like they did in the clip (note the MARX GRATIA MARXES where ARS GRATIA ARTIS is) so they could use it at the start of their movies. However, the studio refused but let Groucho, Chico, and Harpo do their clip for previews of their movies.
