  • there's something about this song that puts me in a such a good mood :)

  • I hear ya.

  • "well you are yes you are so much like me"

this is a great, powerful line and i must remember this about my fellow man and woman, even if they drive me crazy and i think i hate them

  • Hahaha

  • can someone tab this out? or atleast figure out the chords? I want to be able to play this so badly.

  • f-ing youtube, won't let me post tabs here.

    I've tabbed the intro.

I'll send you a message, if anyone else wants it let me know.

  • Hearing him and his songs 'naked' like this really points out how incredibly unique his talents are, and what a defining impact he's had on modern, progressive songwriters. Sometimes I think he's just dropped in from another planet to make us reassess things. Thanks for taking the time to post all this footage paulmalkmus, I really appreciate it.

  • ...for what and where and when he showed up, and for what he STILL does, his music really does embody songwriting...he really just seems to show up and give his heart into every song. Freeze the Saints is the one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. For me personally, its right next to Stardust by Hoagy Carmichael......keep writing Stephen, and thank you.

  • If anyone wants the link to the tab, just message me. Or just search google for "freeze the saints tab", the first page have both the versions tabbed.

  • @paulmalkmus yes please

  • This set has put Stephen Malkmus in a new light for me. Gotta see him on this coming tour.

  • @marcellduchamp yeah i think the same thing about Sonic Youth! such a shame that many people don't even listen to their new material, and if they do, they most often have decided that they don't like it before they even hear it. look at the ratings from allmusic, pitchfork etc..

  • unbelievable! what an artist!

  • Malkmus is the better songwriter of the 2000's no doubt.

  • This is so freakin' amazing that it's tough to put into words....

  • @paulmalkmus Hey i'm not sure if this offer still applies but if it does I would like to have the tabs too and if not could you at least let me know the tuning thatnks

  • One of the most underrated guitar players of all time. In facat, so underrated he is that he's not even in the conversation. Sad.

Oh and the songs from this set are beautiful as well.
