L26 is known for gusty winds and terrain-induced windshear / turbulence. We experianced gusty winds with loss and gain of airspeed on final, and heard stall horn buzzing on very short final. I will make a better landing next time.

  • I used to ride out there in Hesperia

  • Gr8 safe landing. well done!

  • I found that if the winds are bad it is easier to approach at 80kts until short final, then pull out all the power and float a few feet above to eliminate the risk of a sudden loss of airspeed. This of course is ONLY safe on a long enough runway.

  • Nice job, looked pretty rough.

  • @hammerogod

hahahaaaa man i actually laughed out loud...

  • Where is there???

  • Some day someone is going to market a Stall Warning that doesn't sound like Oompa Loompas farting through a tin horn.

  • haha that sound at 1:52, the stall horn reached its threshold. usually ya don't wanna hear that when landing, just the typical buzz at 1:45.

  • hard but you did well man

  • Yeah, because you were there and were able to make the call right?
