In his last interview heard at http://www.tvtimemachine.com Peter Falk, best known for playing the classic TV detective Lt. Columbo, talked about his famous character in a one-hour interview on the radio show TV Time Machine hosted by TV historian Jim Benson, heard online at tvtimemachine.com and every Saturday at 3PM PDT in Southern California on 1170 KCBQ-AM.

In 2007, Peter Falk gave one his most comprehensive interviews ever on TV Time Machine, discussing his nearly fifty-years in television and movies. Joined by author Mark Dawidziak (The Columbo Phile), Mr. Falk spoke extensively about his two Academy Award-nominated roles in Pocketful of Miracles and Murder Inc., and his most famous role of all--the seemingly dim-bulb LAPD homicide detective named Lt. Columbo.

  • THIS ISN'T PETER FALK!!!!

  • Loved him. My husband and I love to watch whenever there's a Columbo marathon on--those were the best! Rest in peace, Peter Falk. You'll be missed.

I'm going to watch "The In-Laws" this weekend. He and Alan Arkin were outrageous in it!

  • I Also Found Out Peter's Dead

  • Federico Fellini the most famous Italian film director (with Vittorio de Sica ), after a second stroke fell into an irreversible coma and died (five months his wife Giulietta Masina died of lung cancer). One of Fellini’s last words was "life is obscene!!". Same thing can be said in the case of Peter Falk : dementia, alzheimer...

  • I think Columbo was one of the best written series ever made. Talk about quality acting and writing, like most of the older television shows and movies made in that era and before.I sure miss those days growing up.

  • peter falk was a natural talent and extremely gifted actos..a rare breed these days.i have watched columbo since the start and it is my all time favourite show.i dont think we will ever have another actor like him that can play the shabby detective role with such great expertees.he was a one off..peter falk..you will be greatly missed but thank goodness we can watch all your truely remarkable whodunnits.greatness like this will remain forever in our minds..RIP peter

  • This is sadder than his death...the fact that not long after this Peter Falk developed Dementia.

R.I.P My hero. I named my cat after you. I always wanted to meet you, but I will some day in Heaven.

The night you died and the day after I could smell cigar smoke around me, and I found out you had died.

  • R.I.P Mr Falk.
