After listening to Maron's WTF podcast for about a year now, I wanted to revisit his less extemporaneous side. I'd forgotten how damn funny this guy is!

he agreed to the roast because it went well in 92 when he did but this one was different in that none of his actual friends were there and it opened his eyes to what people actually thought about him. there's a big article about it that written a few years after this roast.

@LH270677 You are probably right, I read an interview that was done with Chevy Chase after this happened and he said the roast was a huge reality check for him and his ego really needed it.

Chase is a notorious dickhead, and Marron puts out the most entertaining and thoughtful podcast extant.
